Ensure the safety of your visitors and employees by considering the importance of ETL, UL, and FCC compliance for your LED Ticker Display.
It is important the displays you purchase are certified with these agencies. A number of pop-up LED “manufacturers” quickly assemble displays and sell them without subjecting their products to rigorous testing. These manufacturers forego the associated cost and time required for proper safety inspection.
Why is this risky?
Purchasing from one of these manufacturers puts your organization and employees at risk. A non-compliant product is in violation of the National Electric Code (section 410.6).
The 2 key risks: First, you don’t know how well-made the products are. Second, inspectors could cite you for a violation using a non-listed fixture in your facility.
What are the standards?
ETL standards test products according to nearly 200 safety and performance standards. The ETL Listed Mark and C-ETL Listed Mark are accepted throughout the United States and Canada. These marks denote compliance with nationally recognized standards such as ANSI, IEC, UL, and CSA. This certification mark indicates that the product has been tested to and has met the minimum requirements of a widely recognized (consensus) U.S. product safety standard, that the manufacturing site has been audited, and that the applicant has agreed to a program of periodic factory follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance.
Is Rise compliant?
Especially relevant – all of Rise Display’s Tickers (manufactured by Sunrise Systems) are manufactured to safe standards such as UL, ETL, and FCC. Our compliance is validated by the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (which is part of OSHA) to test to these standards. You can verify in the Intertek Directory by searching for “Sunrise Systems”. You can also email them at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to confirm claims by other providers.
In summary, save yourself a potential headache. Before you buy, educate yourself on the importance of ETL, UL, and FCC compliance for your LED Ticker display.
