Rise Display delivers reliability and support satisfaction to one of the world's largest banks
As challenging as it is for any business to win new customers, it's often even harder to impress those who have previously purchased similar products and services from another vendor, especially when they weren't completely satisfied with their previous purchasing experience. Second-time buyers often raise their standards, sometimes significantly, when they go back into the marketplace to find something better. Such was the case when HSBC Securities Canada recently went looking for a new display vendor. As the full service brokerage arm of one of the largest banks in the world, HSBC Securities already had some experience using electronic displays to convey timely information in their bank offices. Until recently, however, their display experiences left something to be desired, according to Ms. Sophie Stephenson, Senior Analyst (Market Data). "We already had some displays, but we wanted a company with more reliable hardware, more follow-up support, and more commitment. Past vendors just didn't seem that interested in our business." HSBC Securities started their new search with a good idea of what they did and didn't want. For starters, their display needs had not changed: "We need to convey financial information to clients of our bank and securities branch," explained Ms. Stephenson. "The content varies from location to location, but generally includes such items as major indices, bonds, and FX rates." In addition, it was important for them to find a vendor that could provide both the hardware and the software components of their display setup, and configure it all in a way that would let them control the content of all of their displays from one central location. And naturally, they wanted better service. With the bar thus raised, HSBC Securities Canada surveyed the available electronic display vendors and in the end decided to select Rise Display to install and maintain several Ticker and Tracker displays in their corporate office and retail branches in Toronto, Willowdale and Vancouver. By all accounts, their new purchase experience has succeeded in meeting their raised expectations. Not only are they happy with their new displays, but they are also very complimentary regarding the service that they've received as Rise Display customers. "The new displays are very reliable, and the support staff within Rise is great — they're very helpful and pleasant to work with," said Ms. Stephenson. "Our account manager keeps in touch with us and inquires about the level of our satisfaction. And Rise demonstrated a general flexibility and willingness to work with us regarding price as well."
