Mario J Gabelli School of Business

The Mario J. Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University opened their trading room in the early 2002 using a simple tri-color ticker and LED matrix display. As LCD Displays evolved the university upgraded their technology in 2005 to take advantage of the full color, high resolution capability of digital signage with a 3×1 configuration that you see below.

And this year they took another step upgrading from 3 – 40″ LCDs to a 2×2 video wall of 46″ screens using the internal OPS media player to enable them to display more financial data and charts.

New Client Design: Florida State University

Florida State University recently added a new finance lab to give finance students access to a real world trading environment. As part of the project this 1920 x 1080 digital signage content was designed to display both US and world indices, live TV, and announcements. Upgrading from Tri-color to Full Color

University of Texas Austin is one of the pioneers in building a mock trading floor. Their room was dedicated back in 1996 becoming one of the first state-of-the-art trading, research and teaching facilities in the world. (more on their history here)

In the late 90′s they installed a custom serpentine LED stock ticker on the bulkhead on the exterior of the trading floor using a tri-color, 16 pixel tall LED ticker (see photo below)

This summer the school refreshed the technology installing our latest 24 pixel premium style ticker using the full color spectrum of 16.7 million shades (see below)

Wow – the color really brightens up the hallway and draws attention to the finance lab.

New Client Design: Suffolk University

Suffolk University is located in Boston, MA. Recently the Sawyer Business School added several displays for keeping finance students and faculty up-to-date on the latest market conditions. The displays include both single digital signs and a 2×2 video wall. The financial charts and graphs are provided by the Premium Financial Data Service. The displays also include live TV, scrolling Reuters News, and general announcements. The Design Gallery has hundreds of other examples that can be viewed here.
