The Improved UniversityFinanceLab.com

We have made several enhancements to the University Finance Lab website over the last few weeks to provider better resources to the business school community.

  • Directory – we have compiled a directory of the current labs across North America.  You can view a map to see where they are located as well as a full directory listing where you can drill down and see specific details about each finance lab. (If you have an update to your directory listing please let us know)

  • Interviews – If you have been following along for the last few months you have noticed some of the interviews we have been highlighting.  We have collated them together in one place for you to easily check out some of today’s state-of-the-art facilities.

  • Research – we have updated a few new case studies / white papers on the research section.

  • Lab Stats – we have summarized all of the stats from our polls into 1 simple “Infographic” that you can take a look at the trends in the industry.

We have also updated the Room Components section to a more focused offering of the key components you need whether renovating / expanding your current lab or building a completely new facility.

The Improved UniversityFinanceLab.com

To make the process even easier for you (instead of having to reach out to each of these companies individually) you can now work with one dedicated consultant to help orchestrate everything from your room design and furniture right through to the desktop solutions for analysis and simulations.  This approach allows you to leverage the expertise amassed by helping over 200 business schools, to consult you through the process to make your finance lab a success.

If you have any questions, feedback, or would like more information about any of the products described simply fill out this form and one of our Finance Lab Consultants will be in touch shortly.

Advanced Digital Signage uses for Google Spreadsheets

The Google Spreadsheet Gadget is a great way to integrate your Google Spreadsheet with your presentation. Once the data is entered into your Google Spreadsheet, the information on your presentation should update (according to the specified time in the Data Refresh Interval and you can set various conditions). For more information on the Spreadsheet Gadget please visit HERE.

What if you wanted to get a bit creative with your presentation and not use the Google Spreadsheet gadget for it’s normal intended use? Well I’m happy to say that ANYTHING is possible with the with the combination of Google Spreadsheet and the Google Spreadsheet gadget (well almost anything). Most of the tips that I will provide will be focused more for novice users, but with a little more research on the internet, I’m sure you’ll be able to find a lot of cool stuff.

With that said, let’s get started. Below I have provided a list of simple HTML tags:

  • Space <br>
  • Image <img src=”url”>
  • Image+height+width <img src=”url” width=”xx” height=”xx”>
  • Underline <u>Enter Text Here</u>
  • Bold <b>Enter Text Here</b>
  • Italic <i>Enter Text Here</i>
  • Font Color <font color=”red”>Enter Text Here</font>
  • Font Size <font size=”6″>This is some text!</font>
  • Span of colors and <span style=”color: #115997; font-size: 20pt”><b>Enter Text Here</b></span>

It’s simple…. just  wrap your element with these tags and that’s it. l For example, If I wanted to bold and underlined text I would simply type in the following, in a Google Spreadsheet cell:

<u><b> Enter Text Here </b></u>
